In this talk Associate Headmaster Will Speers speaks of the power of reflection in deepening learning.
He concludes: "My wish for you this winter is that you immerse yourself in learning – not in plot or answers or grades or safe thinking, but rather in the quest to explore and unite; the audacity to empathize with what you don’t understand; the courage to transform our human failings into affirmations of invention; the grace to forgive ourselves and those around us for our attempts; and the joy to celebrate what we dream and discover. Such engagement repairs and redeems our tired, confused world, blasting away ignorance and injustice, while consecrating kindness, purpose, wonder and resolve."
