The Music Prize is awarded to that fifth or sixth former who contributes the most to instrumental music at St. Andrew's. The 1965 Music Prize was awarded to Terry Wild '65; the 1966 Music Prize was awarded to Charles Gates '66.
The Captain Williams Music Prize was named for St. Andrew's first music teacher and bandmaster, Captain Edward Williams. The prize was introduced in 1951 and retired in 1964.
